Had the first day of school today and I just came home really missing my students from last year. This group is very cute but they have a lot more attitude and disrespect towards each other. I also was really missing my kids while teaching and I don’t think I was fully on my a game. I'm already dreading going back tomorrow. Could use some encouragement

Think back about your classroom last year, how respectful were they the first day?

Remember, it's your class! And every day is another beginning

Third great is less mature, but also less cutzpah. That may be a good trade off

Oh wow 5th to 3rd that’s so different
Good thing they are still at an age they want to please
Maybe a team building activity
If they need to say something nice about another that would be good

It's very insightful of you to realize that thus group disrespects each other.
Maybe you will be doing some great things making these girls aware how their actions can make or break, and will have less sisters in law being made to feel like dirt.
