successfully? I find chicken that has been cooked, frozen, reheated just doesn't taste right. I have a bunch of turkey roasts and would love to cook them in advance, but I need to know if they will taste great when defrosted and reheated. I will be making it in a maple/white wine sauce.

TIA!

Sorry, I don't have an answer to your question..

I was just wondering how you make your turkey roast.

Its posted somewhere in the turkey roast thread. I will see if I can find it and bump it up. Its really good. Its basically a version of a Kosher Palette recipe.

Place in a ziploc bag with some olive oil, minced garlic, rosemary, black pepper, Chill in fridge overnight. Bake in roasting pan for first half hour at 425 then lower heat. Pour a mixture of real maple syrup (about 1/3 cup), 1/2 cup OJ, 1/3 cup white wine over roast. Cover losely with foil. Bake for around hour and half for about a 4 lb roast. Slice and put back in liquid. If serving later, reheat in liquid.

This is really amazing.

I've made the turkey roast from Kosher Pallette 2 a few times. I cooked it until it was just ready, let it cool, sliced it, and then froze it in 2 or 3 separate packages, and it tasted great when it was reheated. The slices didn't stay so neat (not sure if they even started out so neat), but taste-wise, it was fine.

My MIL says u can do it. But it will be better if you slice it after you defrost. and that you should serve it hot...if u serve it cold she said it may have a tiny bit of a freezer taste
