Trying to decide what kind of coat to go with for my baby
Should I do a stroller/car seat pod or a bunting and coat? I have a lighter coat for the in between weather.
I obviously only want to buy one kind of coat that will work or be adaptable

No puffy coats in a car seat, so when your doona is in the car you need bunting/pod,

Is there a reason for no puffy coats in car seat? Like it’s dangerous

Yes, all that puffiness can compress in a crash ch"v and then the straps would be too slack and not actually restrain the baby.

No coat in the car seat, it's sweaty enough as is & it's not safe. My babies wear a sweater & I cover then with a bunting or thick blanket.

So do you buy a regular coat too or you use the bunting in the stroller too?

I get a cheap coat or snowsuit for the stroller since they’re also tucked in under the blanket, and a zipper thing for the car seat.

I actually buy my kids 2 winter coats until they switch to a booster seat and leave 1 at school, since they just have a fleece and blanket in the car until then.

I bought one of the car seat covers that go around like a shower cap. I think the brand will skip hot. It's plenty warm. You do not want an additional coat. Because the doona is already very good at retaining heat so even on the coldest days it's sufficient

Brand is skip hop I think.

I have one from 7 am enfant that’s really really warm. You don’t need a coat under it.
