I don’t think I want lace for a few reason. My skin tops now are very nice but nothing special. I hope to get a new wig and I mostly see on Instagram the lace tops. Is it possible to have an updated modern look with a skin top wig?

Which Insta accounts should I look at for ideas (or are the skin tops not on Instagram)? I am with it and up to date, but prefer a skin top. I wear wigs that are about as long as my chest or a little longer.

Eva and Chloe supposedly has a new line of skin tops that's super flat and natural. don't think they really post them on insta bc more ppl are interested in lace tops but def look into it

I actually tried the irene hand tied wig which did not look nice at All on me, and my sheitel macher told me Eva and Chloe might not work for me as 1) my head is too big and 2) they only come in curly but I want a sleek look.

Strange..
My eve and Chloe is super sleek…

The Esme skin are also pretty natural as well

Maybe ask another sheitel macher her opinion
In general all the wigs are becoming more natural.
Will it look like lace? No
But will it look a lot flatter and natural than 2 years ago ? 100%

I’m actually thinking of an esme, but only the brand owner sells it- I can’t get it at any other sheitel macher. And she mostly only sells esmes so I can’t compare brands.

It’s about 1000 more than most other skin tops and I’m not sure if it’s worth it.

I saw Sary is having a sale with 600-1600 wigs! So if I would go with an esme for 3000, I just want to make sure I’m getting better quality and not throwing extra thousand(s) in the garbage.

Previous poster- esme is sold by Estee lichstadter formerly known as esteewigsalon but now esmewigs

this summer I made one trip to Boro Park..yes Im from Flatbush and hate going to BP so it is a trip for me Smile Anyway, I see all these women wearing gorgeous skin top shaitels that have really natural hairlines, very flat on top with baby hair. They really looked amazing! as this is coming from someone who swears by lacetops as being the most natural!

You need to try on different brands..
One brand ribbon will look completely different than a different brand.

The baby hairs put in right make a big difference as well.
Taking out wefts to fit your head are a big part.
In my opinion 50% of how good a wig looks is the person cutting it
So do a lot of research into the person who will cut it.

This makes sense. Any Lakewood SM recommendations?

I got a ronit skin top with extra special baby hair from someone my SM sent it to in BP. It looks amazing. I didn’t want lace bec of maintenance, and I personally feel like it looks better on me due to my head shape being sort of cone like. Good luck!

I've heard very good things about Michal wigs (it's not in my price range so I don't have personal experience)

They look really natural but skintop.

May be worth looking into.

It’s in the 4 k range so I don’t think I’m going to get one. I also don’t know if that type of wig is good for weekday wear vs Shabbos and weddings. Appreciate the suggestion! I will def look into it further before deciding.
