My 15 yr old son is having difficulties in his life.
He has a hard time learning and davening and cant sit and concentrate. He does have ADHD.
He has gotten in with a not so great group of boys.
He started to go to daven in tiros and a tshirt but with a hat and jacket but slowly he stopped wearing the hat and jacket.
Sometime he misses davening altogether.
I was told to just leave him and not nag him.
I used to wake him to go daven several times and sometimes he made it sometimes not.
Last night he came home late and went on his game until very very late when I told him to shut it off.
This morning he missed shacharis and woke up very late. He asked me why I didnt wake him. I tried once and just had enough.
Now he is all mad. He asked me why I wake him a million times when he needs to go to the doctor but now I dont.
I told him Im tired fr having to go wake him so many times then he wakes up late and misses half of davening.
I just cant do anything right.

If he's asking why you didn't wake him, it seems to me that he's interested in going. Use that as an opportunity for tomorrow.

It is so hard and you must be so frustrated.
I imagine a lot of it is feeling bad about himself and he is trying to protect his own sense of self by blaming others (ie. you).
On the bright side he seem to care about missing davening (even if it is after the fact) and doesn’t see an appointment with a person (the doctor) as a higher priority than his appointment with Hashem (davening). Which is awesome!
Is he getting help/meds? Do you have support and strategies to both help and deal with him?
