Has anyone ever been with their families and can help with my trip?
I feel like I can’t come up with a legit itinerary. I keep going in circles …

So dar this is what I’ve got. If anyone has more info on any of these places… I would love to hear feedback or additional ideas.
Children ages 9,7,3 (adventurous lol)

Day 1
Shendandoah mountain
Dark hollow falls trail
Biking ??
Skyline drive

Day 2
Massanuten resort - mountain coasting , zip line , climbing wall…

Day 3
Luray caverns

Drive to Virginia Beach for shabbos

Day 4 (Sunday)
Boating - rent Duffy boats. Watch marine training Chesapeake bay?

In my opinion, VA beach is a totally different vacation than Shenandoah. Do you realize it's nearly 4 hours apart? I don't know where you are coming from, but in my opinion, I don't like to drive so many extra hours after arriving at a destination.
If your kids are adventurous and like hiking, you can do Shenandoah for 3 full days. There are SO many great hikes. The 3yo will be a little harder, but if you can carry him/her at times, it can work.
Check if you will be in the area during the Page County Fair - fun rides and shows for the kiddos.

Thanks!
I didn’t realize Shenandoah mountain is literally a 3 day thing. We would love biking and hiking and scenic trails.

we’re thinking of meeting up with family which will be at Virginia Beach for shabbos

Shenandoah National Park is HUGE. Your entrance fee is good for a week, I believe. There are so many trails to try. We love hiking and yes, we could do it for 3 days.
Ah, if you're meeting up family in Virginia Beach, that's a different story. Probably worth the drive.

We paired our Shenandoah trip with a few days in DC. It’s very close…

There's a safari in Natural Bridge that's really like a drive truth petting zoo. Meaning you open your windows and doors and feed the animals. It's expensive but so so worth it. And Natural Bridge itself is amazing!

Yes I have, it's a beautiful resort. We stayed in a house there and did the activities on the Resort. It was in the fall so not that many attractions were open.
On the way we went through skyline drive and did a few short hikes. But there are many beautiful longer ones..
