The morning sun rays stream into my dining room windows causing my home to be bright and warm.
Tell me about your Shabbos menu
Fresh and flavorful. varied colors and textures. A favorite food of each family member home that week. The special Shabbos feel (that’s my goal , sometimes I hit it completely, other weeks not so much )
I use it when I can because I hate driving and looking for parking. It’s also easier to deal with the kids when I’m not driving.
TMA the last place you visited outside your city
Teveriah. We had a family Shabbos there 3 weeks ago.
Light blue Kinneret sparkling silver from the sunrays.
Davening at Kever Rabbi Meir Baal HaNess, at the Rambam's Kever, at Kever of Rochel - wife of Rabbi Akiva, and more... so meaningful.
Strolling along the Promenade on Motzei Shabbos, mesmerized by the the still, dark waters of the Kinneret.
The feeling of awe when going into the shul of the Mekubal, HaRav Kook, shlit"a.

TMA the feeling that Chodesh Elul is almost here.
Wow! So beautiful!
I just started teaching, it's a beautiful feeling to teach about Elul on Rosh Chodesh. Gets me into the mood. I feel like I'm starting the school year while preparing for my new year.
Also my birthday's in Elul, somehow that always feels very significant to me.
Finally, after 7 kids home for weeks on end, waiting for me, working mom, to entertain them, I get to pass the buck and ask the teachers and friends to entertain them.

Tma your kids school uniform
I actually thought it was terribly ugly before my oldest started school. But when that little girl puts it on for the first time it is so cute that who cares what it looks like anymore!
Tell me about your first days of Sukkos (or first day + erev Shabbos + Shabbos if you're in EY!)
I live in chutz laaretz so it’s a three day yt.
I love it because no one is running anywhere. The whole family eats together all meals.
I’m not working so I don’t feel pulled in two directions
I went to Shul and got there before birchas kohanim so I’m extra grateful.
The kids fought
Made a mess and ate up most of the food. So uneventful on that end.
Well, firstly the Ushpizin each night - so meaningful to say the prayer to welcome them into the sukkah.
My dear m-i-l was by us for all the days of Yom Tov (not Chol haMo'ed). B"H she's a wonderful person.
Our new couple, got married abut 9 months ago, ate by us on Yom Tov and Shabbos. I find these new couples so refreshing, B'H, sometimes reminds me when I was at that stage.
Some of our other married children visited on Chol HaMo'ed with our darling grandchildren, ke''h.
My husbands friend from MDA, visited. He's made a point of visiting us every Succos for the past 20+ years.
Bochurim from my husbands weekly shiur and who go with him to sing for hospital patients and lonely people, to cheer them up.
That's as much as I can remember now...
