I have about 4 seasons worth of pics on my iPhone. Maybe even more!
My goal by the end of next week is to make photo books out of them
It’s so overwhelming, which is why I still haven’t done it yet !
Thinking best way to sort it all out is by seasons. Maybe 2 photo books per year ?
Or 4 ? One per season ?
Which website should I use ? Someone told me that if you have prime Amazon you can upload to your prime account & it has a feature to help ?
Or should I just print out the pics & make good old fashioned photo albums ?
Thx in advance!

I use Shutterfly. I try to do by the year or two years. Every so often, there are coupons for unlimited pages which means about 111 pages I think. They come out beautiful but it is a lot of work

Shutterfly
I like splitting books by years - or even less than a year depending on how many pics I have. I make 100 pages per book and wait for unlimited pages coupons.
I know the 8” books are better but I do 6”. Price is so cheap for those. 1 -2 pics per page. No pics across pages.
I don’t stress to make them perfect.
We have a few of them at this point and they are so much fun to look at they get used all the time.

I do it according to themes. Like 1-2 pages of yom tovim, 1-2 pages of summer pictures, 1-2 pages of indoor playtime/outdoor fun, etc.
I do it on shutterfly

I'm old fashioned and do actual prints.
It might come out more expensive, but the few books I did were a pain and a hassle.
I print them and when I have time put them in albums. I get the ones with space/few lines on the side to write notes.
And yes, I do go through them every so often..
I print from shutterfly, there are always coupons.

If you are looking for the quickest way, I think old fashioned printing and putting in album is best.

Do you write notes on each pic ?
That sounds like so much work to me.
If not, aren’t you wasting so much space on the side ?
I’m thinking that maybe I’ll just print them all out & put in
Albums. At the end , it’s really All tje same result.

I really like the books better than prints.
I found over the years the prints fall out of the albums. They fall apart. Kids pull out pictures and don’t put them back.
I found the books to stay the nicest and be the most organized.

Not sure what you mean by waisting space, but sometimes I'll note a landmark that was in a picture... or a particular feeling I remember having when I took that picture.
I don't have kids, but I'm thinking in the future to jot down kids ages...
I have alot of these types of travel albums
https://www.amazon.com/Holoary.....r=8-3
I have stacks and stacks 😊and love going through them

I’ve made photo books with shutterfly, but the pages can rip too. Dealing with pictures is time consuming which ever way you do it. Old fashioned albums or on computer. Snapfish has a feature where they will organize the photos for you if you just want a quick job. I once got a digital picture frame where you can put in an sd card and look at the pictures that way.

OP said something about doing it on prime. Anyone know more about that?
Anyone do it directly through apple?

So many shutterfly users! I've been using snapfish-is shutterfly better?
Re making albums vs printing-if I printed, I don't know that the pictures would ever make it into an album, the photo book to me is much less work & also you can group them on the page the way you want, instead of fitting them into the structure of the album pages

I know with the 6” books I select my pics and auto arranges it for me in a book.
I really just have to go and clean it up. But it does a lot of the work for you

Shutterfly has a free designer service. I end up saving my favorite photos to an album on my phone, then select all of the album on Shutterfly, and choose the free designer service. It was ready to order the next day but I waited for the unlimited pages coupon and it was so quick, beautiful, and affordable.

I do Shutterfly (I like it better than snapfish) books. I do the 8x8 ones and use coupons to make it affordable. I usually make 4 per year, one for each season. I am a few years behind though…I’ve made like 6 this summer so I’m catching up!
