Stopping in Watkins Glen for an hour or two on a road trip. Having a hard time figuring out what to do there. Kids are 3-15. Looking for specifics that were enjoyed.

The main attraction is walking along the main hike - the gorge trail.
And then maybe eat a picnic.

It's a hike. You can start at the top and walk down or start at the bottom and walk up or walk both ways. There are lots of steps. It's really beautiful.
I'm not the most athletic person and I barely made it up the whole way. My youngest child refused to keep going in the middle and had to be bribed to continue since you can't just leave in the middle.
There's also a visitors center, but the whole point of going to Watkins Glen is to do the hike and enjoy the beauty of nature.
