Does a lace top wig usually need to be thinned out and have wefts taken out or only silk top wigs?

2/3 of my most recent ones I took wefts out.
It is a personal choice
I felt they looked more natural with the wefts removed

I’m not sure what most people do, but removed wefts in mine and it looks and feels a lot better. Curious to see what others respond.

I have curly lace top wig, except for one , they all needed to be thinned but that could be bc of the texture not bc its a lacetop.
