My hair used to be beautiful.

Long, gorgeous curls.

Now, its knotty, dead looking, way darker then when it used to see the sun, falling out, itchy, and all around uchy.

Is there an oil I can use? Massage? Mousse? Special shampoo/conditioner?

I wash my hair a few time a week. I use a keratin shampoo and conditioner. No other products.

here are some of my tips:

-never cover when wet or damp
-deep condition 2x a week
-I switch to a gel from mousse which helps if I'm out of the house (hair covered) more than in, though my curls are slightly less exciting
-shorter curly cut that both takes less time to dry and allows the curls to be less weighed down
-occasional highlights if you're feeling really down about it

are you using a sulfate-free shampoo? sounds like your hair is getting dry

(I have used argan oil in the past, though my hair is only the oilier side for curly hair so I don't use it that often. sounds like it might help you though, especially for scalp!)

oh! also I've never had luck with the keratin type products! they make my hair feel stiff, but that was even before marriage, so it sounds like your hair is different than mine.

I would look into the "curly girl" method too!
