In a regular household with yearly new clothes, how much do you pay for mendings? Do you give them out? Only the difficult ? What prices do you pay for fixings? Like a hem, change zipper or other alters? And in what location are you in ?

Baltimore - $8/pants for my 15 year old when we get him new pants.
That’s it. Nothing else.

so much money…Hundreds of dollars a year.
alterations are time consuming, people have to charge for their time.
I try to skip or do things myself and I still spend a lot. BH, a big family. I paid $125 to fix up the dress I bought for my son’s BM.
Hemming, tapering, shorten sleeves, fix neckline…
