I saw all the love being given for the Harrods backpack suggested on another thread and was amused!
As a gg girl I don’t think I would ever think to buy a bag from Harrods- it was always the tourists who had them!
Would you in the uk buy a Harrods bag?

It's a tourist thing.
Though someone once gave me Harrod's freezer bag, and it was very nice quality.

So probably not typical Harrods green! Sounds adorable! I’m super patriotic but not for Harrods lol

I'm not from UK and I wouldn't carry one, either. Didn't buy anything with a conspicuous label when I did tour there. I bought plain stuff I would use, like small leather gods and woolens. I don't wear or display anything with a famous label. Nobody needs to know where I've been or where I shop.

Another gg gal here, I wouldn't buy a harrods one here. But if I was abroad, I totally would! It'd be my statement 'london bag'

I bought one as a tourist when I first London. Then I moved to London and now I’d never buy one but it’s an awesome bag. They have really cute backpacks too.

Sorry. Small leather goods, not gods, G-d forbid!

I think it’s so cute, as a tourist I’d totally buy it and have my preschooler use it. As a NYer I’d never send my kid with for example a Macys backpack though.

Gg lady here too - much more stylish to be subtle with your choice of brands. No need to advertise to the world. Good quality and often small logos, don't need to make a big statement. Less is more.

Stamford Hilly here 😊
You won't catch anyone here with a Harrods bag, it's something I associate with Israeli tourists
Or some elderly women
I love the shop though and like buying stuff like the Harrods teddies and other novelties.

I’m not from England, but I would wear a Saks or Neiman Marcus Bag. Harrods is NOT the equivalent of Macys, it’s a much higher end store.

I wouldn't. OK, if I had a paper shopping bag from a prestigious store I wouldn't throw it in the trash but would reuse it for something like giving clothes away, but there is no way on earth I'd parade around with a "real" bag from anywhere. If they want me to advertise their store by wearing or carrying their logo merch, they are absolutely going to have to pay me.

I think the equivalent would be the little brown bag from Bloomingdales for a NYer
