There is no eruv where we live and I'm finding these summer shabbosim with little kids to be endless. It's too hot to play outside. We try inviting guests but some weeks its just too much for DH. I'm dreading this week. What do we do ALL day?

Oy, its hard.
Really inviting guests is the best way. (just to hang out, not necessarily for a meal) Or go out to a shuir or visit a friend with those old enough to walk.
Explain to your husband that you are really suffering from being stuck at home all day, and having guests is important for your sanity.
I used to divide the day with my husband. If lunch finished at 3 and mincha was at 8 we each got 2.5 hours to rest.

I hear you OP, I’m in Brooklyn and it’s so hot and dead outside and the no Eruv thing makes me dislike Shabbat.
I bought some games for my kids from amazing savings.
Also we leave the AC blasting (which makes our bill crazy) but we all end up having lots of cuddle time in mommy and daddy’s beds, and the kids seem to love that

I absolutely despise shabbos in the summer. I'm counting down the weeks till we change the clock.

Guests is a lot of work and because there is no eruv it is hard for people to visit other people. DH asked for a break from the guests this week which I totally respect but I'm dreading the endless hours of entertaining the kids.
Taking a break and going myself to visit a friend is a good idea. My friends are also busy with their kids but the break for me is smart.
