Hi, I'm looking to make a sheva brachas on a boat in London, approx 40 people - maybe smaller. Do you have have any leads about a boat/company that rents out boats in the evening?
From looking online, the boats are way too big and costs are £££££
Thanks!!

Unless you are super wealthy that is very much not the done thing in NW London where SB are much more modest. But perhaps I am in the wrong crowd for that kind of thing.

You would need to hire a boat, caterer and consider how to get everyone there, additional travel costs from NW London for guests, entertainment I guess etc. London is v expensive and Thames boat hire is aimed at the non Jewish champagne market.

Sure it can be done. But it's pricey, and the unpredictable London weather can make or break your experience.
Check out Thames boat hire, Datchet boat hire and look around on Google.
The idea is a nice one, not often done.
If money is no object, get yourself a party planner who will pull it all together for you.
Failing that, use a hall/restaurant like we all do.

Ask the caterer, they often know venues that work, including boats. We did one many years ago on the Thames.

Please keep in mind that if the boat does not remain docked, you will likely lose many guests who cannot commit to attending an event they cannot easily leave early or arrive to late if need be. Plus those who may get seasick, early pregnancy and already a bit nauseous, etc.

Are you planning for the boat to go out?
That means guests can not leave even if there is an emergency
They will need to wait until the boat docks.
