I was just there part of a conference for the field of medicine DH is in. I can’t speak for other times but the pritzus is intense.
We also stayed at Eden ROC which felt not as bad somehow

. Is the ritz Carlton in bal harbor a better crowd? Better option? Worth the extra money?. Desperately need an easy pleasant vacation with convenient food. My husband will relax in the room and will go out earlier in the morning and the evening. But need to be able to walk through the lobby.

The ritz and the st regis in bal harbor are more classy options. The fb has liv in it which is a club and there's half naked women walking around all day. Not the same in bal harbor

We stayed there with my in laws. I'm bli Neder never going back. it was very nice and pretty, we airbnb a suite, but the amount of untznius women in bikinis just walking around was OMG for us, and they had this huge bar downstairs in lobby and people partying there at night. not our crowd.

Ritz is a better choice. You are never guaranteed, but lots of frum people stay there these days.
The area is also much more popular now amongst the frum population. 41st street is super quiet compared to how it was years ago. Surfside is the neighborhood over from bay harbour and has tons of kosher restaurants, groceries etc.

41 Street has the cheaper restaurants. I was disappointed that I couldn't find any cheaper fast food style or deli places to eat near Harding when I was last there.

I stayed there a few years ago, very pritzus, way more than the other hotels.
The lobby is a night club

I consider myself modern orthodox and I would never go back. We went a few years ago. I thought it was a trashy scene. And I used to go clubbing back in the day. I'm not that sensitive to this stuff but it was definitely not what you want for a vacation.

Years ago it was better but it's clearly changed.

The lobby at grand beach is pretty much deserted most of the day.
