My neighbour was nasty to me last night. Because it's the 9 days is it better to give her the silent treatment rather then be outright nasty back?

Because it's the nine days, it's a time to sit and really focus on your feelings.
If being outright nasty will make you feel better, then that is something you should definitely do, especially during the nine days.
Good luck and try not to let your neighbour get away with nastiness, especially during the nine days.
