....And are planning to eventually give the required shots, albeit reluctantly, when did you start?
My baby is coming up to birthday number 1, and has been to the pediatrician very rarely BH. That is course means that I haven't given shots on time.
How do you space the vaccinations so I shouldn't be cramming before preschool?

My dr told me to start a year before I need them up to date so that it’s spaced out and not dosing them so intensely. So for me that’s a year before I’m going to send to school.

I don't think you need to be completely
" caught up" to attend school.
I believe if you gave 1 mmr 1 dpt and one polio
You can start school.
You dont have to give all the shots on the cdc recommends. If you start later you can skip some shots.
You can start a year before and give the shots 4 months apart. One of each of the above should be enough.

I started at age 2 and spread it out over a year. From what I understand, you need less doses if you skip giving any before age 2. My child’s school only required 4 vs for the kid to be allowed to start preschool.

I start at age 2. (My kids don't go to daycare/babysitter.) They don't need that many vaccines at that age as many are only given up till age 1 or 2.

Here is the chart. I personally plan to keep my child out of “real school” until kindergarten (which doe calls pre-k)
I’ll either keep them home or send to a playgroup for nursery age. So I’ll start vaccinating around age 3
