Kids are home with is cuz we’re traveling after Tisha bav

What activities can we do around Lakewood this wk? No shoppping , nothing too exciting
They need to get out every day otherwise we all go crazy… thx

bring balls, jump ropes etc.

Library join a scheduled activity and borrow books

Go to the park and finish with sprinklers (if kids are under 12)

Paint afternoon (follow a YouTube canvas art video all together)

Bike riding near some water source (nice scenery and a little cooler)

Choose 1 thing per day to center your day around.

If they are young kids I think it's ok for then to have fun. I just don't do anything extreme. Like no boating, beach, swimming, amusement park, somethint new they never did etc...but I think its fine for them to have a good time. Keeping them home or only going to the park won't do anyone any good when they are bored all day. Think about the daycamps...they still have fun activities. But that's my personal feelings you can ask your lor.

My kids are home now for August.
My plan for the week-

Sprinkler park if weather is nice,
Lots of baking,
Scavenger hunt at grocery store,
Interviewing grandparents with specific questions,
Crafts- soap making kits, diamond art, start on a sukkah project.

Trenton planetarium. Walk are around museum (not too exciting)
If your kids are the type visit the nj state house next door and see if they are doing tours.

Craft for 9 days

Tisha bav slippers, with beads. Food decorating rice cake longs with striped sour belts, white chocolate.
Kosel crafts/kever Rochelle crafts

Kever Rochelle you can do with different beans,/peas

Kohen gadol/choshen/menorah
Menorah with pasta

Bird crafts, moshiach should free the bird klal yisroel
Food decorating bird nest with chowmein noodles and melted chocolate, jelly bean eggs.
