Most people actually do. G-d knows why, but it's definitely a discussion topic. I hear it all the time.
And yeah, if I see someone's kids wearing designer and they fit the profile, I AM going to assume that it's real.

Me too. It is beyond me why anyone would care to purchase a fake anything when they can just shop lower end local.
In my neighborhood, anything goes , so no one understands why go bother to get the fakes.
To me, chasing fakes IS the epitome of high school city.

I buy what I like and I like their stuff more than old navy.
I actually ordered a wyn set for my kids this season had to replace one dress later in the season. I bought it locally at 50% off, it looks identical.

Naah, this is so pretentious too.
Saying that the ones chasing The fakes are so high school, is such a snobby high school comment.
I have no idea what's the real brand, what's a fake, and what's local.
And I don't understand why somebody would want the real one or the fake one. But I don't care and I don't even possess the capability of noticing who is wearing what. And I certainly wouldn't be so judgy about people buying fakes anymore than people buying real ones.

So what DO you know ? If you don’t know local low or mid end options to purchase at any shopping center local to anyone yet you don’t know what is designer / or china fakes ?
No one was being judgy. People are allowed to have opinions.
