I've seen it. No idea how common or not it is. I wonder if this is community dependant.

Not a registry but I did find it helpful to make a list for myself, since several people asked me what he would like and it helped to have something to refer to.

I was wondering lol. I’m from your community and someone did just this week and I told her I was thinking of making a registry as well. But she’s the only one I’ve seen so far.

I've never seen one in CH but I also don't move in affluent circles, could be more common there:) I think also you have to know your crowd, no harm in making one and seeing if anyone asks for it!

True, I’ll do that. I made one, but I never sent it out yet. She lives in CH as well. The one who sent it out.

I had 2 people ask me for my list when they were making their own upshernish (they hadn't seen my list but they knew I'm the type to make one) because they wanted ideas of what to ask for. So it's definitely useful either way!

Personally I love registries, I always want to make sure I am getting what the receiver actually wants. But I know some people find it socially off, at least a bit, to send one out except before wedding/after baby.

Right.
Especially some things I want are sold out on Amazon and might be cheaper on Kingston.
