my baby is 7 months old and huge like 25 pounds. I recently stopped nursing and at first he drank the formula, now he seems less interested. this morning when he woke up at 7 I gave him 6 ounces (3 scoops) at 11:30 I tried giving him another 3 scoops but he only wanted a little so he ended up spreading it out. at 2, I tried giving him more before his second nap but he only drank less than an ounce and wasnt interested. the same thing happened at 3 pm, he ate only a tiny bit. am I over feeding him in the morning?can someone please tell me whats going on? is he only supposed to eat formula morning and night? what should a typical formula feeding schedule look like for this age?my other babies I exclusivley nursed so feeling a little lost here.

That does sound like too little. Is he eating a lot of solids? Some babies transition sooner to food. Since he's already big I wouldn't worry so fast, but I would try to play around to see if you could get him to take more. Maybe by changing formulas, a faster flow bottle (as a babysitter I have seen this to be helpful more than once!), or less oz in the first bottle of the day.

6pm per feed is plenty. Why do you think you need to give more? Did he show signs of hunger after he was finished 6 Oz?
Babies that age take between 20-30 Oz formula per 24 hour period.
Is he teething?

She wrote he only drank 6oz in the morning. Not any other feed.

Try faster flow and spreading the feedings out more. Every 4-5 hours should be ok for that age.

How much solid food is he consuming?
Did he already take a bottle happily before you moved to formula?
