What are the rules for what boys can/cant wear?
Do the tops have to have collars? Little picture/words on the corner? Is Picture on the chest allowed?

tops have to have a collar. no words or pictures. pants cant be tight. dark color pants. black koppelach. black shoes/sneakers with black soles.

Collars are the official rule. But not enforced in younger grades.
Same with white soles. Kindegarten/ kitah alef never said anything.

the first month will be hot. can I send him with short sleeve tops I already have or do I need to buy new?
Non polo, denim color, I have one with a letter A by the left chest...

What grade?
I think that sounds fine.
Not sure about yarmulke though. Navy for sure ok even in older grades. is the color rim very visible- Are we talking about a kindergarten boy?

Kitah alef
Brown, gray, plaid, navy rims
My brothers all wore those in chassidish schools (different state)
