Anyone have experience cleaning the orange/yellow underarm stains on the charles Tyrwhitt shirts or any white shirts probably. If yes what works well?
My husbands shirts last six months max and then they're garbage.
Thanks in advance

Say ty it lasted 6 months and now it’s time to get a whole new set. Twice a year is very reasonable. There’s nothing to do about the stains. If you want to try and prevent them or prolong them in coming… spray shout by each arm pit before every wash. Do it from day one. The shirts may still get the stains , but at a later time….

We have 5 exclusively white shirt wearers...and we love Tyrwhit.
1. Spray Oxiclean max force on the shirt when your husband takes it off -- before it goes in the laundry bin.
2. On wash day, scrub with FelsNaptha. There's a reason its been in peoples laundry rooms since maaseh b'raishis. IT WORKS. I use a scrubbing brush, wet it then scrub on bar of soap, then scrub well on shirt. Works for ring around the collar as well.
3. Let shirt sit for 30 mins or so.
4. Wash cold. Hang while wet. If you can hang in sunshine it bleaches the shirt naturally.
repeat after next wear.
Some don'ts:
1. NO hot water. Will just set the stain in the fabric.
2. NO bleach. Bleach will yellow the shirt overtime, especially areas like underarm or collar.
3. NO dryer. Will set stains into fabric.

Mine does too and still gets yellow underarm stains
But what’s weird is he didn’t always. It only started in the last year or two.
I did a mix of alcohol, Dawn soap, and baking soda iirc and it did help. Found the method in between carpools

The best method I found was to buy a detergent from the Kosher grocery stores from israel. It's a blue bottle. Not sure the name of it anymore. You spray it on the underarms and let it sit for overnight and then wash and hot water. It's a miracle cleaner!
