Yeah, I've been working on collecting childrens' books for my kids to read as they grow into them and I can't resist reading lots of them again, haven't read them since I was a kid, they are quick easy reads compared to adult books that I need to set aside serious time for, they're light, enjoyable, and fun!
Just gonna share a ton of kids' and YA picks I loved:
Narnia series
Books by Emily Rodda
Tamora Pierce
Wonder by RJ Palacio is amazing
Out of my mind by Sharon Draper is, too
Magic series by Edward Eager are so much fun
Kristin Cashore wrote great books that are basically clean
The Face on the Milk Carton series
Beauty by Robin McKinley, and others of her books
Anne of Green Gables series
Tucket's Travels by Gary Paulsen was a fantastic read- all the series in one book
Richard Peck wrote some GREAT period fiction, A Year Down Yonder, A Long Way From Chicago, The Teacher's Funeral...
The Giver series
Diana Wynn Jones Chrestomanci books
Henry Reed series by Keith Robertson
Megan Whalen Turner is an INCREDIBLE author
Reading B is for Betsy series as an adult gave me such nostalgia
The All-of-a-Kind Family series
Homer Price books
Eva Ibbotson wrote lots of kids' books but has a few more adult ones that are great light clean romances
