I didn’t get my baby a social security number when she was born and heading out to get her one at two years old.
I read through the website and have all the documents I need, basically baby’s birth certificate and passport and my drivers license and passport cover it all.
I remember with other kids I needed to bring a letter from the pediatrician stating that this child is mine (method of identification).
It doesn’t seem I need one now- I don’t know if things changed or I just didn’t have a passport with photo for those kids then so I needed the letter for ID whereas according to the website the passport that this kid does have seems to be lchatchila.
Anybody did this recently and can clarify?
