Please help an overwhelmed, overbusy mom, who can't spend her entire summer coaxing stubborn stains out!
I did the standard Vanish spray/ wash cycle twice. Stains are still proudly clinging to 2 of my kids' brand new white t-shirts!
Should I risk bleach? How exactly?
Thanks in advance ☺️

After years of aggravation and keeping buckets of white summer clothing soaking I now stay away from white clothing for my children. Unless I know that’s it’s all white and can be bleached when necessary. Be careful though, bleach makes things yellow and also causes holes.

I use oxiclean spray that I spray directly on the stains, as well as put some oxiclean powder into the washing machine, and wash it on a white load.

Fruit juice stains, when fresh, vanish if you stretch the stain over a bowl and pour a kettleful of boiling water on it from a height of at least a foot. Easiest done in a bathtub. Usually works in one shot, may take a second treatment. Best to position the item with the wrong side up so the stain gets pushed out of the fabric rather than into it.
Not sure how this works if the item was already machine-dried but it's worth a shot.

It it's synthetics then garment will turn yellow. You need to know what fabric it is before applying bleach.

I'll be anonymous because I share this with anyone who listens. Lol.
Hey grandmas spot remover. If that doesn't work, miss messy mouth stain treater.
Between these two bh my kids who's are crispy white.
And add blueing agent to the load every 2 weeks or so to keep them looking sharply white.

Half a scoop of Oxi Clean powder in a bucket with very hot water. Let sit for 24 hours. Wash as usual.

Do you only use the blueing on clothes that are completely white? Or also on things like a white tshirt with a color graphic print on it? (Like a picture of an ice cream cone for example).

I just tried the method from between carpools.
Equal parts Hydrogen Peroxide & Baking Soda and half the amount Dawn dish soap. (I used method dish soap) Rub into stain and let sit for an hour. I did it on a chocolate stain that miss mouths messy eaters didn’t get out and on a white tshirt. Bh the stain is mostly out might be a tiny shadow spot left.

What do you use Grandma's Spot Remover on?
I use Miss Mouth's Messy Eater stain treater spray for food stains.
How is Grandma's different and when do you use what?

Seriously the sun is the worlds best stain remover
wet the garment and put it in the sun works wonders, especially for fruit stains and diaper leaks but really works for almost everything/
If it is really dirty you may have to repeat the process...

For food stains put under direct sunlight, works magic.
Chocolate is tough, I sometimes used bleach, in others it came out after 10-15 washes.
Dirt/mud/ grease usually comes out with a dish soap, vinegar and baking soda mix.
