Thanks for all the replies. Conclusion for me is that more ppl feel it is unsafe than safe so for now I will only go with someone or when there are multiple ppl there. In the meantime will find someplace else to go walking.

I wouldn’t call willow tree a deserted place. I’ve walked it alone even late at night without an issue but I’m not afraid to walk alone at night really anywhere.

I don't think it's quite the same because of how dense the trees are but you be honest I wouldn't do that either 😊

Op I’m so impressed how open you are and upfront about the anxiety and your therapist, etc.
lots of chizuk to you!
I don’t walk in prospect park alone anymore in Brooklyn. I think that may sound silly to some and I don’t have anxiety disorder but I think the world has changed a lot and there a lot of secluded trails there. I mean the open parts I would but the trail foresty parts no.

This poll is not consistent with the thread.
I would not walk in a deserted place and voted based on that.
However, the duck pond by willow tree park is not a deserted area. There are people there at any given time. Even if it has it’s quiet moments here and there , it is not a deserted area and the dangers of a deserted area do not apply considering that any given moment people totally may and do come by.
Of course, night is a different story . These parks are officially dawn-dusk.

I agree and in the all the years ive been there (live not far) been walking there probably for close to 20 years I have never even seen any shady characters. Those who are giving their opinions based on “deserted park” who have never actually been there dont really count. It is not a deserted park, there arent even forests. You are 2 steps away from houses (even where there are condensed trees) I definitely this poll should have been exclusively for people who have been to willow tree

Maybe the poll wasn't great but in the beginning most of the responses were that they wouldn't walk there alone and then it switched. I was there yesterday at 9;00 and nobody was there. I have been there plenty times with nobody there or one or two ppl.
Also having houses in sight means nothing during the day when most ppl aren't home and you need to walk a good few minutes to get to those houses. On the other side there's a road.
When I was a kid I was walking with my sister in Boro Park in a pretty residential area, however, the block we were on was a bit deserted with 1 factory building. A non Jewish bigger girl held us up. Then she noticed some drunk ppl and let us go. I think this made me realize that you could walk through a seedy, dangerous busy area and you are safer than walking through a safe deserted area.
