How do you wash your wigs at home?

I wash it in the sink, first shampoo and then conditioner. I let it sit with the conditioner for about 10 min or so. Wash it out, wrap it in a towel for another 10 min or so. Brush it out, put it on a head and wait for it to dry.
But not all wigs are so low maintenance. Some need to be straightened after dry, or treated if it's wave/curly.

But I let it sit for a few hours (or overnight) wrapped in a towel. That way it's not so wet when I put it on the head. I think if you put it on the head very wet, it will stretch out your lining.
Also, make sure you use good quality shampoo and conditioner! And no hot water; lukewarm is fine.

Water should be lukewarm.
Hold it by the part while washing. Stroke hair in downward motion with shampoo. Rinse well.
Do not put conditioner on hair by the cap,only the ends that hang down past the cap, because it will unknot your hairs.
