I’m on LinkedIn myself. My industry kind of requires it for networking.
BUT
I know LinkedIn works by connections. How is it ok that so many frum men and women are connecting/commenting on each others posts etc etc etc “for the sake of business and networking”?
I see so many times, flirtatious compliments - directed toward a persons work. it nags me to see it. Maybe I’m reading into it too much?

Flirtatious comments are the problem, not LinkedIn necessarily. If someone doesn't understand inappropriate behavior, it can happen at a store, on whatsapp, by text message, email, etc.
What do you consider flirtatious behavior, by the way? I've never seen flirtatious comments there, even from secular or non-Jewish connections on LinkedIn.

It’s not ok. Many comments definitely cross lines that shouldn’t be crossed. Especially frum to frum connections.

What sort of comments do you see that are crossing lines?

Not ok. Especially that they're using the first names and not a brand/business name. It's too personal.

Yep, banter, teasing, “you go girl” type of messages from frum men to married frum women and vise versa. It’s rampant and it’s highly inappropriate.

My husband and I always joke that LinkedIn is frum approved social media where people can totally flirt and message people of the opposite gender "for business". It's honestly comical and cringeworthy reading the comment sections.

I have a profile on LinkedIn with my work history and my current position. Am I doing it wrong?

While I agree it's not appropriate for any kind of comments or compliments, you can't judge from any one example. You don't know if they're brother & sister or cousins. Especially if they're so overt like that.

You can do better with removing identifying details...

You didn't? Then you're not on LinkedIn.
Come on. I'm there for years and that's the vibe.
I have received support messages from men and I'm there without a profile picture.
Its just that my comments are always very intelligent and I have great sense of humor so people think I'm a flirt.
I comment on women's posts only btw.

Many posters have similar comments across multiple linked in posts. They must have a ton of brothers and sisters.

To be dklz many people have ghostwriters on LinkedIn so it doesn't have to be the person themselves commenting.
Its hard to train the culture to a non Jewish or even a more modern ghostwriter.
If a dm is too 'warm' for my comfort level I'll make sure to professionally bring it back to, eh, professional level.
