I cracked eggs to scramble,, left it on the counter and went to do bedtime. Came back and saw a dead fruit fly inside the raw eggs.

Toss, of course. Why is this even a question?

How long was it on the counter? It only takes a minute for a fly to wander in and drown. I don't think they carry diseases. I'd throw out the fly and eat the eggs.

It's when you start finding rocks in your bread that you need to ask harder questions.

If they were standing there less than 2 hours, why toss them? Throw out the fly and make sure they are cooked all the way through.

voted yes.

Of course, I would scramble the eggs what's the problem with scrambling the eggs with the fly?

Oh you want to eat it as well, then take out the fly first, if the eggs were not too long on the counter then cook it, and enjoy it.
