I am looking for frum novel recommendations - have you read a frum novel recently that you really enjoyed? Not necessarily looking for intense over the top drama unless it's really well done and meaningful. Thank you!! Could be an oldie but a goodie or new!

I know this is a kids' book but I'm currently ready Bricks and Stones (was Bricks and Ladders when serialized) and enjoying it.

m Kenans books (The Betrayel, The Outcast, The Dark Secrets) are amazing.
They are a level above like Harry Potter is a level above a standard secular book.

I have a random book question. My son went to sleepaway camp and read a frum book there where the main character was Rebbetzin Simchoni Freilich (fictional name of course!!). Anyway he liked the book and I want to get it but he doesn’t remember the title. Anyone?

Map the Stars by Leah Gebber (maybe a bit too intense)
Other R' Meir Uri Gottesman books: The Chase, Morningstar, The Harp (for Tisha b'Av)
Free Fall by Mimi Zakon. (I also liked The Cohens of Tzfat, though it's a kids' book.)
The Last Rabbi of Lodz by Yonah Klein.
Seconding Shortchanged also.
Name the Stars by Penina Weiser.
Libi Astaire: Terra Incognita. Also, you might enjoy her Jewish regency series.
Second Chances by Yael Mermelstein.
Dov Haller's books.

Song of Redemption - Zacharia Hoffman so so beautiful and sad and so timely for the three weeks
Any of Etka gittels books - fabulously researched and engaging
If only and the sequal even there even now Libby Klein - very touching
Most of Meir uri Gottesman books, they’re a type but I really enjoy them

I know what this book is called in Hebrew, let me know if that info would help you |
Who’s the author? I know the book and it’s an older one but can’t remember the name now.

In Hebrew it's נאמנות כפולה by מ. ארבל
I believe in English he uses the name Yair Weinstock
