Help me purchase a new watch

Dh wants me to get a new watch. He's giving me a budget of $1500-$2000. What I would really like is something simpler for everyday and a little more dressy maybe real gold for simchas and y"t. Do you think I can pull this through? Do I make sense?
Exp get a $100-$200 weekday watch and leave the rest for a nicer watch.
For reference I'm chasidish. I'm mentioning this because my sense is that styles are different is the chasidish communityies v. Not chasidish communities. It's not a negative thing it's just that that's how I find styles work.

Most people have one nice brand name watch they were for both. You won’t get real gold for that price anyways.
Michele has watches in that price range.

You can also do a Micheal kors watch which is cheaper.

How do j know which companies will last and are good quality? I have now a $70 citizen watch for about 6 years. Never even changed the battery yet.
