My life has been turned upside down over the past year. My amazing, smart, personable son was diagnosed with a very rare cancer a little over a year ago that as of now has no effective treatment. I’ve had to leave my job to care for him and was fortunate enough to be paid for the past few months; however that payment has now ended leaving me with no steady income. I’m trying very hard to find asynchronous work and am doing as much gig work as I possibly can in between appointments but I’m so stressed that I am going to run out of money soon. I’m a single mom and my ex does not help financially.
(We are signed up with the major organizations who help a lot in many ways!)
