My dd was recommended to have surgery to fix her curve from Scoliosis. We currently go to Columbia pres hospital for yearly check ups and they recommended the surgery. Who can I go to for a second opinion just to verify that this is what we should do?
DD has been braced for a long time and she tried PT but it didn't work for her.

My 2 daughters had spine surgery not scoliosis but something else that was very uncommon.
I went to so many doctors and was not happy with any until I spoke to Echo in Monsey and they recommended Dr. Lawrence Lenke in Columbia pres.
I know you are there now but I was very happy with Lenke.
When one of my daughters was there I met a woman with her daughter who was there for scoliosis. The mom told me her brother is a spine surgeon in HSS and only recommended Lenke.
There is another orthopedist in NJ that is good also. I could get his number if you would be interested.

I work in peds orthopedics at columbia. dr lenke is excellent and pts travel from all over the world for him but as you said his specialty is in the uncommon. pretty sure he wouldn’t do a typical scoliosis case
