We are moving from OOT to Lakewood for job reasons. Wondering which areas we would fit in. We're JPF and not fancy. My dh job will be North side of Lakewood, I'm not sure what I'll be doing yet. I have a toddler.

Chestnut. Maybe raintree
Are you specifically looking for Lakewood? Jackson and Tom's River may have some nice areas for you.

Thanks.
No not specifically in Lakewood but don't want to spend all day in the car from what I hear about Lakewood traffic.
Would be interested in Jackson and TR recommendations that are on the closer side to Lakewood

If you're in the North consider Howell.

Right now I'm looking to rent until we figure out totally where makes sense for us. Not sure of my budget, probably based to some extent on current rental market. What could we get for $2500/ month? Would love to avoid a basement if possible

I think chestnut would be a good start.
You can look into the clubs at Jackson 21. Those are starter homes and some are for rent. It is pretty far out tho

This is really the best source. Make sure to get it online the first time it comes out.
I would say Coventry if you would benefit from an active social life or Lakeview.

Westgate I think is your best bet in that budget and hashkafically there are literally all types of people. It’s very convenient you’ll be able to walk to pizza store pharmacy clinic grocery etc. however you won’t have a yard. You can get a 5 bedroom 2.5 bath for around this price (if it’s available )

If you're working in North Lakewood Toms River is out of the question. It's about a half hour away. Jackson is closed but most of it skews pretty yeshivish.

Westgate might be your best bet. You have to call the housing office to find out what's available

If you only have one toddler I vote Coventry. I'm not a fan of West Gate in general.
