Anyone else in my shoes?
I keep telling myself that if Hashem wanted, we would be on vacation.
I’m finding this challenge to be really difficult.
Especially watching everyone else go away and we can’t.
I had a rough year, and the one thing I looked forward to is going away for a few days in the summer.

Welcome to my life. Never went away in the summer the 9 years that I'm married.

I work the whole summer but I call it my mental vacation. So much of my stress is lessened in the summer and it really refreshes me for the fall.
I can sleep later, I don't pack lunches because day camp gives food, I don't stress about bedtime at all because they can sleep later. There is no running to the grocery because out of snacks for the next day. I get a lot of fresh air which is amazing for my mental health. No homework, no tests, no calls from the school. Its just so much less stressful.
Scamp ends tomorrow and we are not talking about school until the last week in August.

Yes I relate.
My sil called to invite me on a week long vacation with her and my brother. Sadly I had to decline because I get no summer break. My boss will allow me a Friday off here or there so I can get away for Shabbos but he expects me to worship him for it after. Really not worth it.

Yes. My husband can’t take off.
I feel terrible to complain but I’m a sahm not fully by choice and he’s so busy I’m incredibly bored.
