Our school and day camps used to have this rule. It might still be in the rule book but suddenly 90% of the clothing are denim "look". You literally can't find a full wardrobe without some. I still stay away from the real thick denim that looks like jeans.

Your kids would get kicked out of school from you wearing a tznius skirt? That's unbelievable to me. They need to focus more on middos and less on silly things like the material of a skirt that the mother is wearing

I agree. I don’t make the rules, I just try to follow them. My kids are in the most “modern” Chassidish schools in our city, and we get comments often that how we (me and dh) dress will cause suspension.

That's really sad. I couldn't deal with that. Kudos to you. I'd be counting down the years till I could wear a denim skirt lol
