And how old were your kids?
Where did you go?
What did you do?
What made it fun?
Would you do it again?

Italy-with kids age 20 and 14. It was amazing to see new things and some very very old ones, eat in great kosher restaurants, and absorb the atmosphere. It was a big birthday for me and we all enjoyed the trip.

Camping near Lake Champlain, 5 nights.

We swam for hours. Spent a lot of time around the campfire at every meal, cooking, chatting. Hiked. Built shelters from deadfall and rope. Hiked back the next few days to improve our shelters and play in them.

There was no cell service (we were in a very remote campground), so no distractions. I had a really good book for my downtime.

My kids were 4,6,8,10. We all remember it as one of our best vacations.

Amish view inn and suites
It was quite hot- I have to qualify by saying it was 10+ years ago. We are not an amusement park type family so we did the more educational sort of activities. We plugged a croc pot in in the morning and ate delicious stews every night .

We did hunters one yr. We rented a kosher airbnb, which was gross to put it mildly, but we tried to make the best out of it. Looking back now, we have nice family memories to look back to.
I would also love to hear some ideas around New York area pls.

Iceland. Amazing country and we had such a blast. We spent a week and went glacier hiking, to black sand beaxh, puffin chasing, waterfall watching, ride Icelandic horses, went lava cave exploring and dog sledding. We also took a 3 hour helicopter tour over a big chunk of the country. Kids had a blast and then we spent shabbos relaxing at our stunning airbnb overlooking an enormous valley. Most beautiful sunsets ever.

Is there an option for a hotel with water park that has separate hours?

Dubai
We live in Israel so it was a very short flight.
Kids age 6-20. Plenty of kosher food.
So much to see and do.
Eg: the older kids did indoor skiing one day at the Mall of the Emirates and there were plenty of activities there for the younger ones.

Melour Hotel in Hunter, NY in wintertime.
Kids ages 19 thru 4.
Kids still drooling, challishing for a repeat.
I will admit though, we are a low profile family on a budget. The trip was sponsored, otherwise we couldn't afford it.

We have been to Dubai a few times. Lots to do and you can do it on a budget. We stayed at a super cheap hotel, which was actually really big and had a full kitchen. We didn’t spend money eating out. There is a ton to do even if it’s hot outside. They even have indoor amusement parks. And everything was pretty empty when we went so like zero lines anywhere. we also really liked Thailand. Kids ages eight till 18.
