What do you do when you take cabs with a toddler? Do you shlep a toddler car seat along? Are there doona style buggies that convert into a toddler seat?
I usually take my baby on my lap (very infrequently) but I know it’s wrong.
But is there an easy way to do it?

I personally don't take cabs very often but if I am taking baby I take a carseat and use the seatbelt to strap it in. I would never not use a carseat.

But what do you do with the carseat afterwards? Shlep everywhere you go? Imagine you need to travel in a cab and then use your stroller upon arrival.
So you have 2 pieces of equipment. Super inconvenient
Is there a more convenient way?

They sell wearable carseats for toddlers that are light weight and easy to schlep. I've never tried them but I heard they are easy to use and convenient

Snap and go. Or invest in a doona. My babys safety is more important than my inconvience.

These are for toddlers not babies though.

I used to put the carseat over the hood of the stroller. It was a major pain. I wish they made snap n gos for toddler car seats

Over 2 you legally don't need a car seat in a taxi

Legal makes no difference. A child who uses a seat belt before they can fit properly risks internal decapitation.

That’s great! Then we don’t need a buggy.

I've heard about these as well.
It's like a vest for them to wear and it puts the seat belt in the correct place
