I loved her! I talk about her first French lesson all the time as proof that immersion with support is a great way to learn a language. I run a resource room and most of my students are learning English as a second language and I always tell the tutors to walk into their session and speak English (with support and translation as needed) from day 1. And I quote Madame Papelow as saying, "Bonjour mesdmoiselles," and waiting for us to chap that she wanted us to say, "Bonjour Madame." And then, using hand gestures to show us to sit down while saying, "Asseyez-vous sil-vous-plait."
Oh I loved her!!!!

My mother, my grandmother, and I all had Reb. Wessel for 12th grade Chumash.
My mother and I had a lot of the same teachers in 11th grade.
