Realistically speaking, will someone hire me if I’m in the 8th month, still have a few weeks left to go, and come back after maternity leave?
I need a job now just trying to see if it makes sense…

My sister started a new job in her seventh month. She wasn't employed long enough for full maternity benefits, but no other issues.

Probably not unless it’s a short term job like a summer job. But you can try interviewing with a x start date for after baby’s born and you’re ready to return from leave.

I wouldn't hire someone who is realistically going to be off for an unknown period of time unless the job was temporary or it required absolutely no learning curve - for example, having someone just type up items.

Best would be to use a temp agency like people use for summer jobs. I don't know if they exist in your location.

For most employers, they would have spent time and money and resources to train someone and just when they are able to function they are gone and they need to hire someone else to fill a temporary position if the person is coming back.
