If it's like a cigarette lighter you need liquid lighter. Shops that sell lighters should carry it.
If candle wand: Judaica shops should have it just as they have havdala candles. Around chanukka you should be able to find them in abundance.

I have one that can stand upright and the bottom can detach - there’s a lighter inside (like a cigarette lighter). I really like it.

They say there are no stupid questions(!) So here goes:

I knew the silver holders held a long wax candle.... but I don't get how they work. Do you wave it out after you light all your candles (and isn't that awkward?), or do you just lay it down on your tray while lit, and it burns out (seems dangerous)?

I struggle every week and all my daughters lighting is a mess waiting and each person struggling to light a match. I need something safe for young girls, long, easy to use, pretty if it's left on the table.

I use regular small matches.
We have a silver match box holder (small matchbox size), which we received as a gift.
I wouldn't have bought it specially.
If we didn't have it I would just use the matches without the silver box.

That looks nice, but so annoying that you have to charge it!

I have one and never use it because of this exact question. If anyone knows how to handle this without making a mess I’d love to hear!

I wave it out, takes 2 seconds. I’ve never thought so long and hard about this lol. My husband gifted it to me one yontif many many years ago, and I have a lot of candles to light bh, so I can’t use matches. My mother uses one too

The one I have stands upright and extinguishes by itself once the flame reaches the tube.
The ones that can’t stand can be placed on the tray or on a piece of foil.
