Tajín Clásico Seasoning, Mini Tajín Mexican Seasoning 1.6 oz (Pack of 1) https://a.co/d/0dQgtEvF

Trader Joe's chili lime is basically the same thing as Tajin.

We use that one and it has a hechsher, but you can't be sure until you have it. Also, the smallest bottles are a little small to see the hechsher, but you can recognize it when you know it's there.

I bought tajin Classico seasoning at Walmart. It had a weird hechsher. I asked a kashrus organization. and they said it was good.

There are many ethnic seasoning blends which are compounded by the individual cook in that ethnicity, but commercial blends are nevertheless available for those who want them. Italian seasoning, curry powder, and garam masala are just three that come to mind. It's not very different from cholent. Every cook makes it his or her own way, but you can still find recipes and you can still buy mixes.

If one is of that ethnicity and cooks with that blend all the time, it's worth making one's own. However, oftentimes one uses a certain blend only now and then, and it contains any number of hard-to-get ingredients in very small quantity. If you use only a teaspoon each of three to five different exotic spices to make a jarful of a certain blend, and you have to buy these spices in two-ounce jars, they will have lost all flavor long before you can use them up. And if they're costly spices, the expense is prohibitive. In such a case, one is much better off buying the blend. If it loses flavor before it can be used up, one has lost only the cost of the remnants of that jar, not the cost of all those packets of individual spices.
