If anyone has made a wedding recently in Long Island would you mind sharing the approximate per person cost. Tia

The costs are all across the board. The best value would be at a shul that has a ballroom and caterer in house. That way, you are not paying a large venue fee. Here are some options. I tried to arrange them from less expensive to more expensive:
Congregation Beth Gabriel Valley Stream
Hewlett-East Rockaway Jewish Center
The White Shul (rental fee for wedding is $2600)
Great Neck Synagogue
Woodbury Jewish Center
Shelter Rock Jewish Center
Old Westbury Hebrew Congregation (high end synagogue)
Halls/Clubs/Hotel
Crest Hollow Country Club
Mansion at Glen Cove
Garden City Hotel (high end)
The Sands

I don’t think it’s possible to gauge that cost. We have been to two recent weddings on LI. One cost about $500,000 (seriously not kidding.) The other might have been $60,000. There are so many variants depending on vendors that you use. You might want to select a venue or two listed here and post again asking anyone who has made a wedding there to tell you how many people and costs. Your best source of information is calling the venues themselves. Keep in mind that if there is an in house caterer, your variable costs are photos, flowers, band, and wedding attire. If you select your caterer, there are high end and more mid range choices depending on what the shul or hall allows. For example, I would reach out to: White Shul, Cresthollow, and Glen Cove Mansion. Find out if they have packages. Mazal tov and good luck.
