For my first, I was in a 1 BR apt without extra space and we just used a changing mat on one of our beds.
Now I'm in a bigger apt which would technically have space for a dresser with a changing top. Worth it or not?

A little easier on your back, if you need a dresser anyway. So, yay. Less bending over.
Just make sure all supplies are right there within your hands' reach, and also the garbage pail for dirty diapers. You must keep your hand on the baby at all times, when he/she is on the top of a dresser. They fall off it, in the blink of an eye. One wriggle and oops, they are on the floor. Lightning speed.
Have good light there, too, to see anything that's funny with the skin. Any floor lamp.

I like changing on a bed. Works well for me. Use the top of a dresser for cute stuff

Nay, I never use mine, I got the peanut changer so we can move it everywhere, table or floor. When she was very little she liked to just lay on it and kick and look at the lights. Now she’s older it’s under the couch, we pull out when needed.

I like it and use it for night changes. The rest of the time we use a portable changing table downstairs. I'm sure I'd use it more in an apartment.

I really, really like my changing table that is on top of a dresser. I hate changing diapers all over the house and it hurts my back.

I personally love having a changing table dresser. Love having a designated spot to change daipers, with daipers and wipes in one spot, and I love that it's perfect height to change daipers

I never used a changing table but then with my 2nd to last kid I bought from IKEA a dresser changing table that converted to a desk. That was definitely worth it. We used the changing table and dresser when my last 2 were babies and now it's a desk with storage space and drawers in my 18yos room.

This sounds so interesting. Can you link it?

I vote yay.
Sure, for a quick wet diaper change I can do on a cloth on the floor, but for a dirty or blowout diaper which can take a good 5-10 minutes to clean up (get all clothes off and out of the way, wipe baby down from top to bottom, redress and wipe down or put new cloth on the surface) - hate hate doing all that on the floor
