I am truly educated. Truly truly as I have a degree and work in the field.
And the anti vaxxers are very loud and noisy. Maybe not your particular friends, but in general as a whole. They're noisy and want to attract others because they want the safety in numbers. That theory is that the more people jump on the bandwagon, the more true their arguments must be.

It won’t work. The cheder and school is extremely strict. My daughter was missing one vaccine and they threatened she can’t come back if she doesn’t take it right away. I was before a baby so had no choice. I couldn’t keep her home.

I send to a playgroup in a school that doesnt ask for it and shes staying in the school again for next year (nursery).
Ill worry about pre 1a later. There are ways around it in NY. You should post this on a natural closed forum

And they do. If there is an immunocompromised kid in the class, tbe parents do their due diligence on this. Fun fact, not all vaccines shed, so it isn't that onerous.
Parents can't do their due diligence if someone else is being intentionally deceitful though.

I'm not just vaccinating for school per se. I'm not anti vaxx. I'm anti giving little babies vaccines, which many of them are unnecessary. I wait till they're older when they don't need all vaccines given to babies.

Since I'm the one with the degree and work in the field, I think the homework goes the other way. How about we have a sit down discussion and I bring you up to speed on the clinical trials - and how it all goes down from start to finish?

Without that herd immunity, there is high likelihood that these diseases would resurge and become a painful reality for us.
It's funny though. Anti-vaxx try to push their agenda wherever they can. What they don't realize is that if they persuade enough people, herd immunity will be lost, and they'll have to deal with those awful consequences. If they really want to do it their way, they would keep quiet. But their science is so flawed, they don't even realize that it's herd immunity keeping their flawed theories afloat. Essentially they're shooting themselves in the foot by promoting their agenda. |
I'm not going to argue with you on each of your claims. We'll just agree to disagree. I'm happy doing what I'm doing and you're happy doing what you're doing and no, you're not saving us in any way shape or form by your herd immunity theory.

A rational approach! This is the kind of level headed thought I was referring to. It's a happy medium. Cautious, yet understanding the core need and doing it in a way that works for you, without impacting society.

But you are hurting society by destroying herd immunity. Hence the reason why we call it out continuously.
If the choices one makes only impacts themselves, then no one would care. But when you out society at risk, you carry the responsibility for it.
God forbid one of these dangerous diseases resurge and children die or are maimed from it, will you then own up responsibility for it or try to push it onto another misinformed rationale?

We are not hurting society at all. The CDC and vaccine companies don't have your best interest in mind. If they would, they'd do a study of vaxxed vs. non vaxxed and compare the results!! And share it with the public!! But they refuse to do that. And guess what? If a baby or person die or are injured in any way as a result of a vaccine, they made sure they can't be held accountable!!
What exactly do you do, administer vaccines?

Anti vaxxers do NOT rely on herd immunity.
Most try to expose their children to chicken pox, measles and mumps to get real lifelong immunity.
Also, There is no herd immunity because vaccine immunity wears off after a few years.

No, I assist in developing these vaccines. And can't say much more without outimg myself. What I can say is that you're spewing loads of propaganda. The completed clinical trials information is public. Why don't you read through the study designs, the control groups, the protocols and the statistical analysis on them yourself instead of relying on information that others are feeding you.

You think waiting till older to Vax is a rational approach.
But the cdc says you, Stoneblue, are an irrational anti vaxxer if you deviate from cdc schedule.

Oh, so they expose them to polio, whooping cough, meningitis too?
As for mumps, I truly hope they don't. Mumps can cause sterility in boys. They may find this out only later in life when they get married. Who wants to take this risk with their boys?
