It's mission is to serve the local community not to select for the frummest parents. Yes, it skews more RW than other local schools, but it doesn't reject kids because their parents don't follow whatever rules or shitos are popular. Part of the charm is the broad mix of the parent body across the MO spectrum and beyond.
It's rare to find an MO school that filters or selects that way. |
So nice to hear this!
Are you referring to the hs or elementary?

Also it depends where you live. I know of Amsterdam cuz my SIL is from there, you have two schools at both schools u need to be Jewish according Halacha . The difference is school A has lots of students who aren’t shomer shabbos and don’t keep kashrus, lack of religious education, girls in trousers etc. The other school has no rules outside the school, everyone is shomer shabbos but not everyone is CY, some people have tv, one class mate is from a kollel family other is chaba and all women are covering their hair. You can say the family with tv and who drinks cholov akum is modern but in this context they are still more frum then mos of the other school.

We are RWMO and send to RYNJ. We're very happy there.

TAG is a community school. Community schools tend to be hard to label.

I don’t know if TAG can be classified as a community school… like maybe back in the day - but I don’t think that’s still the case based on the current student population
