In the early 90's my brother's yeshiva didn't let them listen to Kivi and Tuki because the kids were singing in class "I don't want to go to school, I don't want to go to shul, every day! I don't want to be like Kivi, I just want to watch my TV, every day!"

That being said, his songs are hysterical. My favorite -Moshe Chaim lost his kippah, Asher Zelig spilled his drink... LOL

omg this had better be satire.

We are long-time fans. Some of our favorite family lines include "I'm rich, Country Yossi, I'm rich!" and "Just kidding, Country Yossi, just kidding!"

We all can't get enough of the new album, especially the Wake up Little Tuki song. Yes, Tuki and Country Yossi tease each other all the time, but that's part of the fun. And it works because Country Yossi is such a fuzzy character and we're not really clear who he is. He's not a rebbi or parent or an uncle...and Tuki is not a human either so yes, he gets away with flying his helicopter to school and then hanging from the chandelier.

And yes, in his new album, CY is still a single guy, and he even has Uncle Heshy join him for Shabbos. Do you guys also think a single divorced/widowed/never married and childless man should not foster or adopt kids??

For all the difference it makes, in real life he's married and has 4 daughters, just sayin...
And how could he have integrated women in his songs without half the people getting huffed up about the lack of tznius in that?

I was just reading Midos Man on shabbos to my kids. Thought it was kind of creepy too

Can you imagine that we really used to sing these songs? I grew up BY in Brooklyn and we all listened to and sang these scandalous songs. And I was shocked when I heard some of the originals, like at the bowling alley..

I loved his stuff growing up and still do now. But it felt wrong playing it for my kids when he's constantly threatening tuki with violence, even putting him in an ambulance.
