Thought I had a pack of cholent meat in the freezer, turns out it's pepper steak. Will it come out good if I make cholent with it?

Yes. I actually save any leftover meat for cholent, I don’t buy cholent meat. It all turns out the same.

It comes out dry, not because of the cut of meat, but because it's sliced/in small pieces (it's juicier in cholent when it's cooked as one big chunk, and gets cut immediately as serving).
Best would be to drizzle oil over cholent once it's been combined, and then add the meat on top where it stays and is also touching the oil.
I am sure it will work out for this week.

Interesting insight as usual, ra mom! Thanks all, I will try to update how it comes out if I remember :-)
